Canine Massage

Why Masage?
Our four legged friends enjoy and often need massage just as humans do. We often forget about the muscles that play a key role in movement. Muscles are often overused which can result in pain. A muscle is a muscle whether in a human or in an animal. So why not massage your pets just as you would yourself. Afterall how do you feel after a massage?

April Capen, CMT, ESMT earned her Canine and Equine certifications through Equissage in Round Hill, VA. She also has her degree as a physical therapist assistant.

She became interested in massage on animals after seeing the positive effects it had on human athletes. Seeing those effects easily lead her to a career in animal massage. She has been massaging at agility trials, flyball tournaments and private barns and homes in the area.

April lives in Merrimack with her husband Brian, yellow lab Cooper and hanovarian mare Eve. She can be reached at equaninemassage@myfairpoint.net or 603-498-0182.

She massages at riverside two thursdays a month or can be contacted for another appointment.
